Tim Sielaff

Tim Sielaff had an early interest in martial arts earning a black belt in Tae Kwon Do under Scott Altorfer in Peoria, IL at the age of thirteen. Tim began training in Muay Thai under Dave Rogers of the Thai Boxing Association (TBA) in Normal, IL in 1999. Since beginning his Muay Thai training with Mr. Rogers, Tim has continued to train with various instructors including Ryan Blackorby of Peoria, IL and briefly with Sensei Al Cooper of Cooper’s Muay Thai in Detroit, MI. Tim also spent three years (2000-2003) as a member of the University of Michigan boxing team.

Tim had his first amateur Muay Thai bout in 2000 and continued fighting in both amateur boxing and Muay Thai until 2007. His career culminated in winning the 2007 light weight division championship at the first ever TBA Sanctioned North American Tournament. Tim was named a student instructor in 2007, and is now an Associate Instructor under Ajarn Chai Sirisute, after being promoted in the summer of 2009. Retired from competitive fighting, Tim now focuses on teaching students of all levels in addition to preparing fighters for competition.

Robert Pierce

Robert was introduced to the martial arts at the age of 11 in Columbus, Ohio when he joined a judo club. Since then he has enjoyed a life-long interest in the martial arts. Over the years he has trained in a variety of different styles including Japanese Jui Jitsu, Wing Chun, Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do and Thai Boxing. In 2003 under the tutelage of Sensi Buddy Hege he was awarded his 2nd Degree Black Belt in Aikido. While recovery from a knee injury that had sidelined him from his Aikido training, Robert picked up a video tape on the Filipino Martial Arts. Fascinated with the complexity and variety of the Filipino Martial Arts in 2004 Robert set off on a new path of study that would include Kali, Silat and Jeet Kune Do. During this time Robert studied under Sifu Scott Shields and Sifu Dick Harrell. In 2009 Robert earned his Associate Instructor certificate in Kali/Silat and Jeet Kune Do from Sifu Harrell.

Janet Harmon, ASCMcPT

Janet has studied Muay Thai for 6 years and has competitive experience in both Muay Thai and amateur boxing, with records of 1-0 and 4-2 respectively. She is a 2 time NC Golden Gloves Champion in boxing and is an Apprentice Instructor level under the Thai Boxing Association United States of America, our sanctioning association for Muay Thai. In addition, she is studying for the ACE Personal Trainer certification, and is an avid "crossfitter", competing in the 2010 regional crossfit games. She also enjoys running and spending time with her son.

Kyle Harrell is an Amateur Boxer with 12 years competition experience.

He is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) and World Instructor Training School (WITS). Kyle will be offering classes and one on one training in boxing as well as weight training / general exercise.

Both the Boxing and Weight Training / General Exercise can be tailored to individual needs and goals.

Noah Zacharko

Noah began studying Muay Thai under Khun Khru Dick Harrell in 2005 after moving to Charlotte. He is currently a competitive fighter and has competed in several regional events including the WKA North American Championship Tournament and has compiled an over record of 3-1 with 1 KO. Noah earned his Muay Thai Instructor Level distinction in 2010 under AJARN CHAI (SURACHAI SIRISUTE) and the Thai Boxing Association.

In addition to Muay Thai training/instructing, Noah is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and specializes in orthopaedic rehabilitation. He is a certified spinal manipulative specialist and has treated patients from all types of populations from professional athletes to weekend warriors.

Noah has competed in athletics his entire life and currently supplements his Muay Thai training with his active involvement in Crossfit training at Ultimate Crossfit.

Michael Taylor

Michael Taylor began training in martial arts as a young boy under his father in Japanese Karate to instill discipline. In 1981 he attended the California Martial Arts Academy and met his first formal instructor, Sifu Larry Hartsell, who was a premier student of Bruce Lee and certified instructor of Lee’s Jeet Kune Do. Michael began training in JKD under Sifu Larry Hartsell, specializing in grappling, trapping, western boxing and Kali. Under Sifu Larry Hartsell, Michael met and trained with Guro Dan Inosanto in JKD and Kali, which has continued to make a lasting impression. While living in North Carolina, he continued his training at the Charlotte Academy of Martial Arts under Sifu Larry Hartsell and Sifu Dick Harrell on Central Avenue.

With Sifu Hartsell's return to California, he continued training under Sifu Dick Harrell in JKD and Kali, and in 1985 Sifu Dick Harrell introduced Michael to Muay Thai-Thai Boxing where he first met Ajarn Chai Sirisute. He quickly grew to love the art and continued his training under the gracious teachings of Khun Khru Dick Harrell and Sifu Rob Kelley.

Sifu Rob Kelley recommended Michael to Sensei Scott Shields who trained him in Jujitsu, Kali, JKD, and submission wrestling. In 1998, Sifu Rob Kelley awarded Michael the level of Apprentice Instructor in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Lakan Guro in Kali, Escrima, Silat and Pangamut. Michael kept in touch and trained with Sifu Hartsell at seminars until his untimely passing and continues to train with Guro Inosanto at seminars.

With Khun Khru Dick Harrell's return to the Charlotte area, Michael now trains at Dick Harrell Martial Arts. In 1999 and 2007 Michael attended the Great Northern Pacific Muay Thai Camps with Ajarn Chai Sirisute and was granted Associate Instructor in 2007. Through continuing his training in martial arts, Michael strives to grow and overcome his own ignorance's. His greatest passion is being a student and assisting others when needed.
